Action Policy

• In a wide variety of our product groups, we will make efforts to develop products with lower environmental load, and contribute to global environmental protection through providing them.
• We globally develop energy creation, energy storage and energy saving with optimum balance, challenging to achieve decarbonization in our business activities.
• We will promote recycling-oriented manufacturing through minimization of input resources and maximization of recycled resources.
• We will reduce waste and hazardous chemical substance use, and prevent environmental contamination such as air, water, soil, groundwater, etc., working on protection of global environment and ecosystem.
• We will facilitate communication with stakeholders, customers and local communities, promoting proper responses to their requirements and CSR enhancement.
• We will comply with laws and other requirements applied in our business activities.
• To improve environmental performance in our business activities, we will promote continual improvement for the Environmental Management System.
• We will develop environmental human resources and establish an Environmental Management System on a global basis, practicing environmental sustainability management.

Panasonic Automotive Systems Co., Ltd., like Panasonic Group Promotion System, theme-specific committees are formed to set a promotion structure that enables global coordinated action.
For example, Energy Saving Committee shares information on energy saving, and Chemical Substance Management Committee deliberates and ensures management of product and factory chemical substance such as legal compliance.

We provide education on environmental activities for all employees through Intranet and special education for persons in charge of environment on global basis. As a part of special education, we hold Seminar on Factory Emission, Seminar on Chemical Substance Management, Energy Saving Network Event, etc.
In Japan, in December 2021, we acquired ISO14001 separate independent certification as Automotive Company from the framework of the former AIS Company.
We plan, create, and provide ISO14001 educational content, and plan and hold seminars on training environmental internal auditors and sessions for auditors.
As part of our global environmental activities, all our overseas manufacturing sites have acquired ISO 14001 certification and are promoting EMS activities.

In APAC region, we are working on to improve environmental management level through education on our management standards and improvement activities with on-site confirmation.​

We conduct Environmental Internal Audits periodically to check operation of Environmental Management System(EMS) and ensure compliance with laws and other requirements.
Since fiscal 2019, we have been conducting Mutual Environmental Audits by auditors of other companies that transcend the boundaries of in-house companies, mainly in the China and Southeast Asian regions.
We will extend our knowledge by incorporating other company auditors' opinions, aiming for improvement in management level.​​​
