Rear Seat Entertainment Systems provide entertainment for passengers sitting in the back of a vehicle. In addition to watching TV and or listening to the radio on the dedicated displays, passengers can enjoy a wide range of video sources by connecting their computers or mobile devices.

Our Rear Seat Entertainment Systems were adopted as a factory-installed system by car manufacturers in 1997 and have evolved into an innovation for a more enjoyable and enriching in-vehicle experience, including support for diverse video sources, larger displays, and expertise in safe and secure display installation.

Integrated with an IVI system*1, passengers can enjoy not only content that can be played in the front seats like TV and radio, but also a wide range of entertainment content such as video, music, games, and internet access via HDMI, Wi-Fi connections, or a Blu-ray player exclusively for the rear seats.

For example, it can keep children and adults occupied during long-distance rides and family trips. Furthermore, with improved ease of use through touch panels and voice recognition technology, it transforms the vehicle’s interior into a “living room on the move.”

We offer a wide range of display options, from 48 inches maximum to 11.6 inches minimum, tailored to vehicle size and application needs. Car manufacturers can also select the optimal display mounting position—such as ceiling-mounted type, seat-back type, or partition type—based on user needs and applications.

The 48-inch display is large enough to connect to a laptop computer for videoconferencing or for viewing documents in dual-screen mode. It can serve as an office space for busy business executives.

When paired with headphones, it also functions as a personal space where passengers can fully enjoy music, live performances, and other entertainment without being bothered by surrounding noise.

The display incorporates safety features to minimize the risk of injury to rear-seat passengers in the event of a collision. The display is designed so that it will not shatter in a way that could cause injury if a person collides with it. The 48-inch display, in particular, features a crushable structure that allows it to fold forward in the event of a side-impact collision.
